Our reason for buying used servers is pretty much like every other company that I know. The economy is so unstable that any cash that we have must stay exactly where it is and borrowing money for new servers is strictly out of the question not to mention that we would probably never find any banks to loan us the money.

I knew that if we sold the old servers to buy the used poweredge servers that we could use the amount of money in the petty cash and still have some left over. The used poweredge servers seemed to be the ones that everyone wanted these days because they were very reliable.

I placed the order for the used servers and put a rush on it I was happy to see that they would not charge me any shipping and handling and they were going to overnight it as well. I had the computer guys all lined up to get to work the following morning when they arrived on the delivery truck and they did it all within about eight hours without a hitch.

The used poweredge servers have been up and running now for about three weeks and we have seen a big difference in the speed and efficiency of our computer system.

I would love to have been the one in the office getting all of the credit for saving the company tons of money on the used hp servers that we just got instead it all goes to some secretary that has only worked here for about six months. She got a bonus and a vacation as well for finding the website that sold used proliant servers for about seventy percent less than what we have been able to find them in the past.

She sent the name of the website in an email to the big guy upstairs and two days later a big announcement was made and the entire office was invited to a big party during lunch time which was catered by one of the best restaurants in town. Rather than spend ten grand on new poweredge servers, I have opted to go with some used ones. I found a company online that refurbishes them and resells them with a guarantee. As soon as I read the word guarantee, they had me. I had been stressing about how I was going to pay for the new servers since I had not budgeted for that much when I made my business plan.

I had talked to a dell repair man that told me about this website company after I asked him if he knew where I could get some cheaper poweredge servers and he said that the new ones were pretty much all priced the same. I decided to check out the lead of the used ones and was pleasantly surprised with the prices, the quality and the selection of the servers that this company offered.

I was able to get both of the servers that I would need to make my office run more efficiently when I opened it. The dell repair man has already been hired to come by once a month to check over the computer equipment unless we call him sooner. I am hoping that we do not have to call him very often other than the monthly maintenance schedule.

The system x servers that we bought four years ago have gone down. I have called in some expert computer technicians and they seem to think that even though they can probably fix them, that we should consider buying some new ones. I guess that the probability of them going down again very soon is high.

I decided to get online and order the new xseries servers right away so that we may be able to possibly avoid another round of the servers going down and having to have them repaired. I wanted to make sure that they arrived before the weekend and this way the installation could take place while no one was here but the computer team and a few of the big bosses to oversee the job.
