I am rather fond of the old style look of wrought iron doors and wrought iron gates. I think that it gives a timeless classy look to your house, if you have them installed. You should never have to replace them since they are made of nearly destructible material. I remember playing at my grandparents house when I was very young and running into the wrought iron gates that were back by the garden, you only do that once, before learning that you do not want to do that again.

I read an article last week that mentioned how the wrought iron door and wrought iron gates were making a comeback. I was happy to hear that and I showed it to my husband who had told me that even if he agreed to it, we would never be able to find those new, we would probably have to go to some salvage yard or antique shop.

I just wanted to prove him wrong, so I searched online for companies that made new wrought iron gates and wrought iron doors and sold them new. I found so many that he had to admit that he was wrong. I will have new doors and new gates in about six to eight weeks.

When the exterior painting company came out to do the estimate, I was really impressed with their knowledge of the proper way the house should be prepped and painted. I had made sure to do my homework and knew all the right questions to ask the exterior painting company. The sales man had an answer for every question and he was very confident.

I hired the house painting company to start the following week and they showed up bright and early on Monday morning to start getting all of the old paint that was cracking, chipping and peeling off. I am hoping that this house painting company can bring my house back to life. I have been working on the inside for the past five years and have finally made my way outside.

I hired a landscaping crew to come in as soon as the exterior painting company has completed the painting job. I paid everyone half of the amount of their estimates and am looking forward to seeing the completed projects and paying them the rest. If the landscaping looks half as good as what the house painting hopefully will, I think that this house will finally have come full circle from when I bought it five years ago.

I know that it is best to choose contractors that your friends and family have used before, and were satisfied with. Jim gladly gave me their name and number and expressed at how pleased he was with the way the company had handled themselves in the installation of the new efficient garden windows. I hired that company and in less than a week from the initial contact with them, I had new windows in the basement. I was very happy with the whole experience.

My insurance company told me to get at least three estimates for the damage that was cause to my garage from the storm last night. I have no idea who does that kind of thing. I am thinking that the internet will be a good place to start. I am thinking of typing in repair storm damage Colorado into the search engine and see what I get. I know that they do a great job with power washing a house because they usually do mine every other year to keep it clean. Too many people only have their house washing done after they can see all the dirt and grime. I do not want my house to ever look dirty again, so I just have a standing agreement with them to have it done prior to it getting the dirty look.

I also know that the power washing company does a wonderful job on deck cleaning because they cleaned my neighbor’s deck and when they were finished, it looked just like the day that the neighbors built it. That was such an impressive job that even I took some pictures to show my friends and family.

From the deck pictures, I know of at least five people that have since hired the power washing company to perform other tasks for them, some include house washing, and deck cleaning and a few other services that they do.

I was invited to a conference at the local library to explain how the new energy tax rebate worked. I was really looking forward to it because I was thinking of putting in new replacement windows anyway. If you can get an energy tax rebate in the mean time, then why not. I just wanted to understand the whole thing to make sure I would receive the credit.

I could not believe how many people were there to learn about the same thing. I was glad I had arrived very early because there were people standing to hear the conference. They did a wonderful job of explaining everything and answered all of the questions that people had. I felt as though I had learned a lot that night. I called the company that was going to install my replacement windows and asked them to do the job the following week.

They let me know that they could work me in to their schedule and I was very happy. The whole job only took about three days and then I had my new replacement windows and earned an energy tax rebate also. I was so excited about saving energy that I replaced my appliances shortly after the replacement windows were put in. All of the new appliances had that little energy star on them. My heating and cooling bills should be much lower and the electricity that I am saving by putting in new appliances should show up on the bill too.
