It is not surprising to hear about companies liquidating their old computer assets. This also does not always mean that a company is bankrupt or soon to be closed. In my case, I am planning to close my IT Company because I have to migrate to another country with my family. The problem is of course how I could liquidate those. I had meetings to various companies to tackle my liquidation deals but it seems like there are no companies and agencies got interested.

There are no companies that will purchase used IBM iSeries components as well as used iSeries servers nor there are no agencies, schools, or even small offices will trust me for converting my old computer assets to cash. Well, I am fortunate enough to discover this site that is selling the exact old equipments that I am liquidating. When I was using my computer, I noticed that there was smoke at the back of my power supply. I panicked a bit then suddenly my computer shut down. Change is indeed very constant. My mother is just a couple of decades older than me, but when I took over the family business, I made a number of changes in order for a decade old business to be updated with the new trends of commerce. Good thing my mother was just very supportive in all decision I made.

In Unix systems, the processor defines everything as a file, but in IBM iSeries, everything is considered as an “object,” which has an internal diligence. This also uses Integrated File system in compiling.

I am hoping that we do not have to call him very often other than the monthly maintenance schedule.
