Waveguides and My Career
06/15/2010
We all have our own line of career as we know it, and as if communications technology embedded itself in my brain that I cannot live a day without it. I am working as a telecommunications engineer for a large corporation. I deal with various advantages and physical problems of the technology. As I was doing my daily routine, I saw something that causes disturbance to the system and that it should be fixed immediately. The team searches the entire structure to determine what causes the distortion to be able for us to replace or troubleshoot it. The interruption was coming from rectangular waveguide components. After determining the cause of the setback, immediately we replaced it with a new component along with the rectangular waveguide transitions to be able to boost the structures capability. After replacement, we hurried to the console to see whether the system is working properly. The team came up to provide their findings and future recommendation for the structure. Every day in my career presented new and sometimes unchartered challenges, but that is what my passion is. This technology became my foundation to become successful.
